FAIRNESS AND RESPECT ARE IMPORTANT TO US
Said and done: We cultivate long-standing and trusting relationships with our producers and business partners in Europe and Turkey. We share common goals and stand for a philosophy of fairness and respect for workers and the environment. This means we operate according to ecological and social principles and forge partnerships that not only ensure a direct impact on local manufacturing and production, but also represent a mutual promise and even a guarantee that every item produced for LANA is manufactured under fair and safe conditions, that wages paid are living wages, that discrimination and child labor have no place in our operations, and that every individual is treated humanely. This is audited and certified annually.
Only in this way can we ensure that fairness, environmental friendliness and sustainability are incorporated into every stitch of our LANA favorites.
OUT OF LOVE FOR NATURE & FOR A FAIR FASHION WORLD.

Our production facilities and fabric suppliers are spread across Europe and Turkey.
THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The globally valid Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification not only ensures compliance with social standards throughout our entire production chain, but also requires compliance with environmental criteria.
This includes not only textile surface treatment processes but also textile finishing and dyeing. Due to the high chemical exposure involved in the production of petroleum-based, synthetic fibers, we focus on natural materials and consciously avoid chemical processes for material optimization. Instead, we use mechanical-thermal treatments, plant-based enzymes, or directly leverage the natural advantages of the original fiber. In the dyeing process, we exclude chlorine bleach and optical brighteners, exclusively use oxygen-based bleaching methods, and employ only heavy metal- and azo-free dyes to prevent skin irritation and contact allergies.
Only in this way can we ensure that fairness, environmental friendliness and sustainability are incorporated into every stitch of our LANA favorites.
FABRIC FINISH
Textile finishing is considered particularly critical. It consumes large quantities of non-renewable resources, and textile workers are frequently in direct skin contact with toxic dyes, auxiliaries, and finishing chemicals due to inadequate protective measures. Therefore, we consciously avoid finishing and treatment processes for material optimization using chemicals and instead employ mechanical-thermal treatment methods, plant-based enzymes, and rely on the natural advantages of the original fiber.
DYEING AND PRINTING
Clothing is among the consumer goods that come into closest contact with consumers' skin. Therefore, it is all the more important that the materials are produced without chemicals and harmful substances. Many skin irritations and contact allergies can be traced back to clothing. For our dyeing process, we exclude chlorine bleach and optical brighteners. The environmental impact and the strain on the fibers are also too high with conventional dyeing methods. Therefore, we exclusively use oxygen-based bleaching processes and only employ dyes that are free of heavy metals and azo dyes.
