High-Quality Materials for Timeless Women's Fashion

Since 1987, LANA has been developing women's fashion from carefully selected natural fibers. The choice of materials is the foundation of every collection for us – because it determines wearing comfort, quality, and durability.

We predominantly use certified natural materials and selected modern cellulose fibers. When making our selection, we focus on properties such as skin-friendliness, durability, pleasant wearing comfort, and traceable origin.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton forms the basis of many of our collections.

It comes from controlled organic cultivation and is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Organic cotton is wonderfully soft, breathable, and versatile – from shirts to dresses and knitwear.

Many of our cotton fabrics are also certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Linen

Linen is obtained from the flax plant and is one of the classic natural fibers.

The material is particularly durable, temperature-regulating, and pleasantly light. Its characteristic structure makes linen a popular companion for warm days.

Hemp

Hemp is one of the oldest known textile fibers.

The fiber convinces with its robustness, high durability, and pleasant wearing properties. In combination with other natural fibers, durable fabrics with a natural look are created.

TENCEL™ Lyocell

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a branded fiber from Lenzing AG and is made from wood.

According to the manufacturer, production takes place in a closed loop process, in which a large part of the solvent used is recovered.

The fiber feels particularly soft, is breathable and ensures a comfortable feel on the skin.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a branded viscose from Lenzing AG.

It is based on wood from certified or controlled sources and has traceable raw material proof.

The material is characterized by its flowing drape, soft surface, and high wearing comfort.

Virgin wool from controlled organic livestock farming

For selected models, we use mulesing-free virgin wool from controlled organic livestock farming (kbT).

Many of these products are additionally GOTS certified.

Wool naturally has temperature-regulating properties and is particularly suitable for knitwear and warm clothing.

Our criteria for material selection

When developing our collections, we consider various quality features.

These include:

• recognized certifications
• careful processing

If no certification is available for a material, we check its quality and suitability according to our internal requirements.

Certifications

A large part of our materials are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

The GOTS standard defines requirements for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibers and includes criteria along the textile supply chain.
